Varkala native V Gopinadhan passes away in London

LONDON: V Gopinadhan (84), a London-based Malayali and a native of Varkala, passed away at Croydon University Hospital on Sunday, 01 March 2026. He was 84. Gopinadhan was a resident of 90 Langdale Road, Thornton Heath, Surrey, CR7 7PQ.

A native of Pullanicode, Varkala, Kerala, Gopinadhan arrived in the UK in the late 1960s from Singapore.

He was a well-known and deeply respected member of the Malayali community in London, always ready to help others and surrounded by many friends. He was a strong well-wisher of KCWA and one of the founding members of SNGM.

Gopinadhan is survived by his wife, Sulochana Gopinadhan, sons, Joy, James &, and Jayakumar Gopinadhan, daughter, Jayaseela Sreeraman, daughter-in-law, Salila Gopinadhan, son-in-law, Jose Sreeraman & grandchildren, Mia & Joshua Sreeraman.

There will be gatherings at his residence.
