Uncle of Indian cricket superstar secures 102nd rank in 2025 UPSC, set to join IPS

SAMASTIPUR: After securing 102nd rank in his first attempt, Abhishek Chauhan is set to choose the Indian Police Service. Abhishek, who excelled in the 2025 UPSC Civil Services Examination, is a native of Bihar. Along with his academic genius, the fact that forced news channels to cover his victory was his relationship with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the Indian cricket prodigy.

Abhishek, uncle of Vaibhav, cleared the Prelims and Mains examinations in the first attempt, and also made it to the rank list after performing well in the interview held in 2026. Abhishek, who excelled in studies since childhood, is notable for his achievements. He did his schooling at Sainik School and RK Mission. He graduated with an M.Tech degree with a gold medal.
