KOCHI: Bigg Boss Malayalam fame Dr Robin Radhakrishnan has said that he is ready to contest the upcoming assembly elections as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He added that he would contest from Varkala if the party asks him to do so. Robin made the statement while speaking to the media during the NDA's event in Kochi. He had recently joined the BJP. Robin received the party membership from BJP state Rajeev Chandrasekhar at a function held at Mararji Bhavan.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always been an inspiration to me. Those who are trolling me can continue doing so. Those who blame the Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation over issues related to the organisation of the Attukal Pongala festival are people who create unnecessary controversies during large events. If the party asks me, I will contest from Varkala,” Robin said.
Earlier, Robin had shared a video praising the Prime Minister and the BJP. “I proudly say that I am a Sanghi. I like Narendra Modi. I like Amit Shah. I like Rajeev Chandrasekhar and K. Surendran. What is the problem with that?” he said in the video.
"Everyone has personal preferences. My views and stance are my personal choice. I like the BJP. Narendra Modi is one of the most powerful leaders in the world and a great inspiration. Some people are afraid that the BJP might come to power in Kerala. But such a day will come very soon,” Robin said.
