Private bus crashes into house after breaking wall in Kozhikode; major accident averted

KOZHIKODE: A private bus that lost control crashed into a house after breaking the wall. The incident happened at Azhinjil in Kozhikode. Only the driver was inside the bus at the time of the accident. The shocking footage of the incident has emerged.


The accident happened Monday morning. The bus crashed into the house of Pradeep of Azhinjil. The bus stopped after hitting the wall of the house. It starts service from Karadi. The accident happened when it was on its way to pick people. A major accident was averted as there were no passengers in the bus. The driver, who was slightly injured, is undergoing treatment at a nearby private hospital.


The family had a narrow escape. The large windows of the house were completely damaged. The broken pieces are lying inside the house, including parts of the broken wall. Household appliances are also damaged. A woman and a child were sleeping in the front room of the house. The woman said the nearby CCTV footage shows the driver jumping out of the bus as soon as the bus loses control and he is seen catching an auto to go to the hospital. She said in shock that if the bus had hit the window instead of the wall, they would have lost their lives.


The locals said the bus was speeding. Could not contact the bus owners. A complaint has been filed at the police station. Locals said that there have been minor accidents in the area before this. The bus has been completely damaged.
