
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Moni Bhosle alias Monalisa of Indore, who went viral on social media during Kumbh Mela, sought refuge at Thampanoor police station, Thiruvananthapuram. She came with her lover Farman Khan. The two sought refuge in Kerala as a safe haven after their families opposed their relationship, which began on Facebook a year and a half ago. She rose to fame as the amber-eyed garland seller at the mela.
Moni is a native of Indore in Madhya Pradesh. Farman Khan is a native of Maharashtra. Moni told police that her father was forcing her to marry someone else, but she wanted to live with Farman. The actress along with her lover reached the station when she came for a film shoot in Poovar. Following her complaint, her father Jai Singh Bhosle was summoned to Thampanoor police station. The police convinced the family that since Moni is 18, she has the legal right to decide with whom she wants to live. The woman later left with her boyfriend.

Moni caught the eye of social media during the Maha Kumbh Mela held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Later, news came that Monalisa would be playing the female lead in the Bollywood film ‘The Diary of Manipur directed by Sanoj Mishra. Along with films, she is also active in the modeling field. The arrival of Monalisa in Kerala as the brand ambassador of Bobby Chemmanur Jewellery was also in news.
