KOCHI: The T20 party’s campaign in Perumbavoor has hit an unexpected snag following reports that their celebrity candidate, actress Lakshmi Priya, is missing from the official voter rolls. Although T20 Chief Coordinator Sabu M. Jacob announced her candidacy yesterday, investigators found that her name is not registered in Karingachira, Tripunithura, where she currently resides, nor is it listed in Thrikkakara, her previous place of residence. This administrative discrepancy has immediate consequences for her campaign trail, as a scheduled roadshow in the constituency was abruptly cancelled today. While the official explanation from the party cites health reasons for the postponement, the timing has led to intense speculation regarding her eligibility to contest.

This development follows a major announcement in which the T20 party fielded several high-profile figures across Kerala. Along with Lakshmi Priya in Perumbavoor, the party named actress Anjali Nair for Tripunithura, Veena Nair for Ettumanoor, and Promy Kuriakose for Angamaly. The party now faces the task of resolving these registration issues quickly to maintain the momentum of their star-studded lineup.
