MUSCAT: Two expatriates in Oman were killed after a drone crashed as US-Israeli attacks on Iran escalate. The incident happened Friday morning in the Al Awahi industrial area of Sohar province. Several people were also injured in the accident. Another drone crashed, but no one was injured. Authorities said they have launched an investigation into the incident.
The airstrikes on the Gulf countries continue unabated. More Iranian drones targeted Kuwait, the UAE, Iraq, Bahrain and Oman yesterday. Ships at the Mina Al Fahal oil terminal in Oman were evacuated as part of security measures. A missile attack was also launched on the Chinese cargo ship ‘Source Blessing’ north of Jebel Ali in the UAE. The cargo ship was heading from Qatar to Oman.
While US President Donald Trump claims to have won the war, Iran retaliated by burning three ships, including an American oil tanker. Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has announced that the attacks will continue and that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed to pressure the enemy. The US has also withdrawn its position that it would escort the ships.
