Prestigious project in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation budget stuck in red tape; no sanction for Pradhan Mantri Bhavana Yojana 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Pradhan Mantri Bhavana Yojana (PMBY), the prestigious project of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation to provide houses to the poor by allocating money from the corporation budget, has not been sanctioned. The district planning committee (DPC) denied sanction for the implementation of the project. The project was announced in the first budget of the new governing body to construct houses using its own funds and through sponsorship for those who received land through the LIFE project. However, it is reported that the sanction for the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation's project is being denied because all the housing projects in the state are related to the LIFE Mission project.
