Friends surprise on wedding day lands bride in Kochi hospital 

KOCHI: A surprise by friends landed a newly wedded woman in hospital. A bride fainted on seeing the surprise given by the groom’s friends at the reception venue. His friends burst a ‘gund’ near the wedding venue. The bride fainted after hearing the sound. The groom and his relatives then took her to the hospital.

The bride is a native of Vettila. The wedding reception was held at a hall in Tripunithura on Sunday evening. When the bride and groom reached the reception venue, friends standing nearby burst the gund. She then fainted. She was immediately taken to Tripunithura Taluk Hospital. She reached the hospital at around 7.30 pm. After giving her a drip, she was brought back to the reception hall.
