Actress Veena Nair to contest assembly polls as Twenty20’s candidate in Ettumanoor

KOTTAYAM: Actress Veena Nair is contesting the assembly polls in Ettumanoor as Twenty20’s candidate. This was informed to the media by Sabu Jacob, the chief coordinator of Twenty20. Twenty20 is fielding people who have proven their talent in various fields and Veena Nair is the first candidate among them, said Sabu Jacob.

Veena Nair said that a medium is needed to reach out to the common people and Twenty20 is the best medium for that.

'We have all directly witnessed the development of Twenty20 in Kizhakkambalam. I am happy to be a part of the Twenty20 model coming to other panchayats of Kerala. My hometown is Parippu in Aymanam panchayat in Ettumanoor constituency. I am even happier to have got an opportunity to work for the development of my hometown,' said Veena Nair.
