Sudheer Karamana to be LDF candidate in Thiruvananthapuram; official announcement soon

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As per reports emerging, the Left Democratic Front has zeroed in on actor Sudheer Karamana as the candidate in the Thiruvananthapuram constituency. Sudheer will contest as an independent from the Left. However, as the Thiruvananthapuram seat belongs to the Democratic Kerala Congress, party leaders at the front are not very enthusiastic about the decision to field Sudheer. Since Antony Raju could not contest the elections, discussions were ongoing to find a replacement candidate. The front accepted none of the names suggested.

CPM Politburo member A. Vijayaraghavan held discussions with Democratic Kerala Congress leaders, but couldn't reach a decision. Sudheer is a party sympathiser and has participated in recent rallies to campaign for the left in the local body polls.
