CHENNAI: Actor Rajinikanth has reacted to the controversial remarks of Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader Aadhav Arjuna. Rajinikanth denied Arjuna's allegations. The actor said time does not speak but waits and answers. Arjuna said Rajinikanth opted out of politics due to threats from the DMK’s first family.
The superstar thanked leaders for their support and described the remarks as untrue.
Meantime, efforts to bring Vijay’s TVK into the NDA have failed again. The BJP unofficially tried to bring TVK into the NDA by promising 80 seats and the post of deputy chief minister for Vijay. However, when key TVK leaders put forward the condition that Vijay himself should become the chief minister, the BJP informed that it was not possible.
Meantime, a section of TVK was in favor. Presently, the NDA leadership started campaigning by announcing that the Chief Ministerial candidate is AIADMK general secretary Edappadi Palaniswami.
Vijay entered politics after leaving everything to become the chief minister. He will not accept any position below that, said TVK administrative committee chief coordinator K A Senkottayan. Senkottayan is a leader who joined the TVK from AIADMK.
