
DOHA: Six people have been confirmed dead in a military helicopter crash in Qatar. Seven people were on board the helicopter. Authorities said that a search is ongoing for one person. The Qatari Interior Ministry said the crash was caused by a technical fault. The helicopter crashed in the Persian Gulf during a surveillance flight.
The Maritime Search and Rescue Team of the General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security and the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group of the Internal Security Forces are jointly searching in the area. The Qatari Ministry of Interior expressed deepest condolences to the families of those who died in the accident.
