MBBS professor's bizarre proposal to girl student goes wrong; watch video

BENGALURU: A professor of a medical college in Bengaluru was roughed up by students after he proposed to one of the girl students publicly. In what was an embarrassing few minutes, the middle-aged professor took the mic in a seminar hall to express his love for the student, which did not bode well with the students.

"I want to propose to one of the most important girls in your batch." The professor did not mention the student's name.

As the professor was walking out of the classroom, one of the students stood up and objected. The professor then said that the girl had confessed her love for him privately. The teacher claimed that there was CCTV footage of the student proposing, but when confronted by students, he scurried away without answering. The girl student, who faced embarrassment over the episode, said she will file a complaint with the principal.

It was later that the students decided to physically handle the professor for his uncouth gesture. The video is going viral online.
