THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Election Commission has stated that 2,040 polling booths in the state have been identified as vulnerable. These booths will be provided with additional security measures, including CCTV cameras, deployment of central forces, video monitoring, presence of observers, and enhanced police protection.

A total of 30,471 polling stations have been set up across the state. The Commission has requested 145 companies of central security forces, of which 35 companies have already been deployed. The Election Commission has also decided that permissions for various campaign vehicles used by political parties and candidates will be issued only through the online Suvidha portal. This includes permissions for video vans, vehicles displaying campaign videos, transport of campaign materials, vehicles carrying posters and publicity items, and vehicles used by star campaigners.
