Couple killed in accident in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: A couple was killed after an auto overturned at Aanakkampoyil in Kozhikode. The accident happened when the auto overturned losing control and hit an electric post. The couple has been identified as Shiju Joseph of Puthenpura and his wife Bincy, natives of Aanakkampoyil.

The accident happened Tuesday morning at 9.30 am. The auto was coming down the Aanakkampoyil Thiruvambady road. Meanwhile, it lost control, hit a post and then overturned. Shiju was an auto driver and Bincy, an employee of a private company in Thiruvambady.

The accident happened when Shiju was going to drop Bincy at her workplace. The auto has been completely damaged. Although both were taken to a hospital nearby their lives could not be saved. The bodies are kept at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
