War of words erupts over POCSO complaint against Aji Krishnan

NEW DELHI: A war of words erupted over the POCSO complaint against Aji Krishnan, the founding secretary of the Highrange Rural Development Society (HRDS) NGO. A former employee of the organisation had filed a complaint alleging that Aji molested his minor daughter.

Aji was questioned by the Delhi Police on Saturday and released. On Sunday, the complainant and HRDS officials held separate press conferences in Delhi and raised the allegations. The complainant alleged that Aji splashed money to cover up the POCSO case and alleged that Aji was also behind the false harassment complaint against former Union Minister S. Krishnakumar. The complainant is looking forward to approaching the court again.

HRDS Project Director Biju Krishnan said that the allegations against Aji are baseless and doubted the role of someone else behind the targeted attack on the founding secretary.

“The organisation has been hounded since Swapna Suresh was given a job. It is suspected that what is happening now is an attempt to divert attention from the controversy related to the Kumbh Mela viral girl.” The HRDS Project Director also clarified that there exists a case against the former employee for threatening Aji and demanding Rs 20 lakhs.
