MUMBAI: A youngster was arrested for sexually exploiting and filming private videos with over 180 minor girls. The police arrested Mohammed Ayaz alias Tanveer, a native of Partawada. The incident took place in Amravati, Maharashtra. The police arrested the youth following a complaint by BJP MP Anil Bonde. The police said that more than 350 pornographic videos were recovered from the accused. Ayaz used to lure minor girls under the pretext of love and then take them to cities like Mumbai and Pune to sexually assault them.
Inside the hotel, the accused used to secretly film the act and later blackmail the victims and force them into prostitution. Some of the videos were also uploaded on the internet in a bid to humiliate the victims. In his complaint to the Amaravati Rural SP, the BJP MP pointed out that the accused had found the girls through WhatsApp and Snapchat chat groups. He also demanded that a special investigation team be appointed into the incident.
Mohammed Ayaz has previously worked as an office bearer of the AIMIM party. He had shared footage of receiving letters from the party's Amravati president Haji Irfan Khan, and participating in rallies on social media. However, after the issue grabbed controversy, Ayaz removed such videos from his Instagram account.
The accused, who was produced in court, has been remanded in seven-day custody. The police seized his mobile phone for scientific examination. Several obscene images have also been found on the phone. The police are investigating with the help of the cyber cell whether these images were circulated to any criminal gangs or not. Steps have also been taken to remove the videos circulating on the internet.
