Youth dies while bursting crackers during Vishu celebrations

PALAKKAD: A 34-year-old youth died while bursting crackers during Vishu celebrations. The dead is Dileep of Sreekrishnapuram in Palakkad. The incident happened last night at around 8:30 pm. While the club members were celebrating together, the cracker in Dileep's hand exploded.

Dileep had many crackers in his hand. It is believed that the explosion of a cracker spread to the other one in his hand, which caused the accident. Dileep suffered serious burns. The postmortem report states that the cause of death was panic and a heart attack.
