Present inside studio during movie editing; Freelance editor including three arrested over 'Jana Nayagan' incident

CHENNAI: Three people, including the main accused, were arrested in the online leak of Vijay's film, ‘Jana Nayagan’. The accused were arrested by the Chennai Police Cyber ​​Crime Wing. The police had earlier arrested six people who had circulated the visuals of the film.

The main accused in the film leak is a freelance editor who also works as an assistant editor in movies. The accused was present in the studio where ‘Jana Nayagan’ was edited. He reached the place as part of the editing work on another film. The police said that after illegally taking the visuals of ‘Jana Nayagan’ from the studio, the accused released it online. The police also arrested two people who were his assistants. It is reported that the main accused was not in any way part of ‘Jana Nayagan’ movie.

The police removed around 300 links to the movie that were circulating on social media. Based on the complaint, the State Crime Investigation Centre registered a case and appointed a special team to investigate.
