BERLIN: 11 people were injured after a clash erupted at a gurdwara at Moers in, Germany. The violence was triggered by a financial dispute between the old and new committees regarding the governance of the gurdwara. People clashed with each other using sharp weapons, including knives and blades. Eyewitnesses say that people were also carrying pepper spray and guns. It is reported that around 40 people were involved in the violence. The shocking footage of the incident is being circulated on social media.

The initial investigation by the police revealed that the violence was caused by internal issues related to the governing body and differences in financial matters. However, eyewitnesses said the attack may have been planned in advance.

'Just before the start of the prayers, the attackers used pepper spray on the opponents, and immediately another person opened fire with a gun. They also had knives in their hands,' said a 56-year-old eyewitness to the incident.

After the violence began, many of those present in the gurdwara fled. The injured were given first aid on the spot and then taken to the hospital. The police have taken the suspect who started the violence into custody. An investigation is underway for the others. The gun used in the violence has not yet been found.
