False campaign in name of marriage, Kumbh Mela viral star gives confidential statement against director

KOCHI: The viral Kumbh Mela star has recorded a confidential statement in court against filmmaker Sanoj Mishra, in connection with allegations of misconduct. The young woman had earlier filed a complaint with the Ernakulam Central Police, alleging inappropriate behaviour by Mishra. She also accused VHP leader Anil Vilayil of spreading false propaganda against her. Based on the complaint, police registered a case, following which she appeared before the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court to give her confidential statement.

She submitted documents related to her age before the court. According to reports, she stated that there was a conspiracy behind the case linked to her marriage. Speaking to the media, she rejected claims that her marriage took place before she attained adulthood, calling them false. She further alleged that the case has political motives connected to the BJP.

Her lawyer informed the court that documents, including her Aadhaar card issued when she was seven years old, were submitted as evidence. The lawyer also alleged that the case against her husband was based on fabricated documents. Meanwhile, in a POCSO case registered by the Madhya Pradesh Police, the High Court has directed that her husband, Farman Khan, should not be arrested.
