KOCHI: A meeting attended by Kochi sub-collector and police commissioner came to the conclusion that there will not be any change in sequence or time of demolition of the controversial flats in Maradu.
Though the local residents had demanded to postpone the demolition of Alfa Serene and Holy Faith H2O, the authorities dismissed this by citing the probable loss that will be incurred by the companies that deal with the demolition works. It must be noted that both Alfa Serene and Holy Faith are situated in densely populated regions.
As per the sequence, Alfa Serene and Holy Faith will be demolished on January 11. The other two buildings, Jains Coral Cove and Golden Kayaloram, will be demolished on January 12. The official announcement regarding this will be made soon after a meeting that will be attended by the district collector and representatives.
