BHOPAL: As many as 48 members of the BJP minority cell in Bhopal have quit the party over the controversial CAA and NRC. The leaders who quit have also complained of discrimination within the party and allege party members of degrading comments against a community.
Have you ever seen a government passing a law in Parliament, and then going from door to door seeking support for it? said Adil Khan who was the BJP Bhopal district minority cell vice-president.
In the resignation letter to the state minority chief the members stated that the party doesn't follow the principles of Shyama Prasad Mookerjee and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The leaders who quit also alleged that there was no democracy left in the party and the entire party was hijacked by two or three people.
However, BJP has dismissed these allegations and accused Congress and communists of misleading them.
