THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said the government is mulling to truncate the assembly sessions on account of Covid-19 infecting 14 persons.
Meanwhile, the Opposition said it was against cutting short the session as it would result in the flare-up of fear among the people.
Chennithala alleged that there was some bad motive behind the plan to cut short the assembly session. The chief minister made the above statement when the Opposition was staging a walk-out in protest against the Speaker dismissing the adjournment notice of the Opposition.
Pinarayi Vijayan said that there was need for resolving the problems faced by NRIs due to Covid-19. “There will be a meeting of advisory meeting on Friday to discuss whether the Assembly session should be continued, as requested by Muslim League member K N Khadar,” he added.
Meanwhile, Opposition leader Chennithala said the health minister was having media mania. “The visuals from the assembly was manipulated and propagated through visual media to favour the minister and show the opposition in the bad light,” Chennithala alleged.
