KOTTAYAM: Half a litre milk was supplied to the migrant labourers at Payippad in Changanassery. Milma supplied milk to 4086 labourers staying in 103 camps. Curd will be supplied to them today. The labourers demanded chicken at a time when the authorities decided to supply rice, onions and pulses to them. The police chased away some labourers when they asked for pan parag.

The labourers are spending time by playing cards. Police are making sure they don’t leave the camps. More than 1500 labourers were on the streets demanding to go home on March 29 defying the restrictions imposed. Since then, the police have been camping there.
