COVID-19: Nine positive cases confirmed in Kerala on Wednesday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Nine new coronavirus positive cases were confirmed in the state on Wednesday, CM Pinarayi Vijayan told the media here. Among the new cases, four are from Kannur, two from Alappuzha, and one each from Kasaragod, Pathanamthitta, and Thrissur. Of these, four came from abroad and three contracted the virus through contact. Two participated in the Tablighi Jamaat meeting in Nizamuddin.

Including the new cases, 345 persons were infected by COVID-19. On Wednesday alone, 169 persons were admitted to hospitals. Test results of 13 persons returned negative on Wednesday-three each from Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur, two each from Idukki, Kozhikode, Wayanad, and one from Kannur.
