THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There are reports that liquor outlets in Kerala will open next week. The decision is to open beverage outlets including bars from May 18 or 19. Even if bars are allowed to open, clubs will have to stay closed. The bars and beverages outlets will be allowed to sell liquor online, it is learned. The mobile application for this will be up on Thursday.
New liquor price is in effect in the state after the cabinet decided to impose 10% to 35% cess on foreign liquor. The cabinet also decided to allow liquor sales as parcel in bars. The cabinet also allowed a virtual queue system.
