THRISSUR: The District Medical Board on Saturday informed that there is no need to impose home-quarantine on Local Administration Minister AC Moideen. The minister has been given a clean chit by the medical board which stated that the minister had attended a meeting with necessary security measures. However, the board has asked the minister not to participate in any public programmes till May 26.

The minister had presided over a meeting which was attended by an MLA who was soon quarantined. According to the medical board, several persons including the minister and Thrissur District Collector S Shanavas had used masks and observed physical distancing measures while attending the meeting.

Earlier, the Congress had filed a complaint with the Thrissur District Medical Officer stating that the minister had come into contact with two persons who have recently tested positive for coronavirus. Following this, the minister opted to stay in his home and expressed his willingness to follow the directions issued by the medical board.
