Youth hacked by lover’s brother critical

KOTTAYAM: The condition of the youth hacked by his lover’s brother at Moovattupuzha in Kottayam continues to be critical. The youth identified as Akhil was hacked last night. He has been shifted to Kottayam Medical College as his condition is critical. The accused has been identified as Basil Eldos of Karukadam.

Basil who came in a bike hacked Akhil and his brother when they came to a medical store in Moovattupuzha last evening. The reason behind the murder attempt is his love for his sister. When Basil left home with a sword, his sister had informed Akhil about it. However, it is learned that Akhil did not expect such a murder to take place in the town.

The love affair between the two is the reason for the attack. Akhil sustained injuries on his neck and hands. His brother too sustained injuries. Police informed that a search has been intensified for Basil.
