One more Malayali dies of Covid in Delhi, taking the Malayali death toll in Delhi to 13

NEW DLEHI: One more Malayali died of Covid in New Delhi on Saturday. The dead has been identified as Chengannur Ala native Shaji John.

He was under treatment in Delhi LNJP hospital. Shaji who was admitted in the hospital for 24 days was discharged and sent back home. The doctors had told him that he was cured of the disease.

But, Shaji, who reached another hospital the other day for a check-up for kidney ailment, was found Covid positive when he was tested again for it. After this, Shaji was again admitted to LNJP hospital but he died early morning on Saturday.

With his death, the number of Malayalis who have died of Covid has become 13.
In the national capital till date, 94,695 persons have turned positive for Covid and out of this, 1904 persons have succumbed to the disease.
