ALUVA: It was autorickshaw driver Babu who came to the aid of the three-year-old Prithiviraj, his mother and grandmother when they discovered that the child had accidentally swallowed a coin. He took the three to the district hospital for free and even gave them Rs 500 from his own pocket before sending them off in an ambulance to Medical College Hospital. Later, he even went to Alappuzha to bring the family back to Aluva without even charging a penny. Now, the auto driver is receiving widespread praise for his kind act. Several prominent personalities including BJP leader Kummanam Rajasekharan have appreciated him for his efforts despite facing several personal difficulties.

It must be noted that Babu's elder son, Sebin, is bedridden after he got paralyzed following a train accident. It was the news article published in 'Kerala Kaumudi' that brought Babu's news to the attention of Kummanam Rajasekharan. Following this, the BJP leader collected the details of Babu and went on to share Babu's difficulties on his Facebook page. Several people have shared this post and are praising Babu for his noble gesture.
