Severe crisis in Thiruvananthapuram as 434 persons test positive for COVID-19 on Thursday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The situation is becoming worrisome in Thiruvananthapuram as 434 persons tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. Of these, 428 contracted the disease through contact. The capital district also reported a COVID death in the last 24 hours.

The deceased has been identified as Mukkola native Lissy Sajan (55). Meanwhile, 197 COVID patients in the capital district tested negative for the virus on Thursday. At present, around 3500 persons are undergoing treatment for the infection in Thiruvananthapuram. As of now, the district has reported more than 8000 COVID cases.
