No clean chit for Jaleel; minister will be questioned again by ED

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Jaleel will not get any clean chit from ED. The agency will again grill the minister. ED chief SK Mishra told media about the latest development in this case.

Meanwhile, sources confirmed that ED took two days to record the testimony of KT Jaleel in connection with the gold smuggling case. Presently the agency has not received any evidence to link religious text distribution with the gold smuggling case whereas the agency has learnt that there is a clear violation of rules in the religious text distribution case.

The minister who reached the ED office on Thursday evening at 7.30 pm left the office night at 11 pm and again the next day he arrived at the ED office at 10 am in the morning. The minister’s testimony was also recorded regarding the religious text distribution case. The minister’s testimony has been transferred to the ED chief’s office in Delhi.
