Congress MLAs stage protest against police in Thiruvananthapuram; Shafi Parambil, Sabarinathan arrested

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Congress MLAs, who staged a protest against the state police by sitting on the road in Thiruvananthapuram, were arrested and moved. Police have arrested Shafi Parambil and KS Sabarinathan for protesting by sitting on the road.

Earlier, the police had arrested Youth Congress workers for staging protest in front of the Police Headquarters. Following this, the MLAs reached the spot and sat on the road in protest against the police force. They alleged that police have tortured several Congress workers across the state for protesting in connection with the gold smuggling case.
