KOCHI: The police have registered a case on the incident of evacuating a woman cured of COVID-19 from the hostel. The complaint was that the owner of the hostel was not ready to accommodate the woman, a native of Kollam who tested negative. The police will record the statement of the owner of the hostel in Kochi.
The police had the other day registered the statement of the woman working in a private company in Kochi. The woman had shifted to a government’s quarantine centre from the hostel after her co-worker tested positive for COVID-19 on September 24.
She too tested positive on September 31st in the test conducted. She was cured of the disease on October 7. She was in quarantine for seven days as per government norms. When she returned to the hostel the other day, the hostel authorities asked her not to enter the hostel without being in home quarantine.
