COVID: Kerala reports 6591 positive cases on Tuesday;5717 cases through contact, 24 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 6591 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, Health Minister KK Shailaja informed. Among the new cases, 5717 persons developed the disease through contact including 707 cases without an identified source of infection. 62 health workers tested positive for the virus today.

7375 coronavirus patients tested negative for the virus in the last 24 hours.

The state recorded 24 COVID deaths on Monday with the toll rising to 1206.

In the last 24 hours, 53,901 samples have been tested.

Currently, there are 628 hotspots in the state with the addition of 6 regions and the removal of 14.
