Acceptance of nomination

Admission is limited to one candidate and companions at a time.

No more than 3, including candidate or nominator, shall be allowed entry.

There should not be any gatherings, marches or traffic jams.

If the candidate is COVID positive or quarantined, then the nomination should be submitted through the nominator.

Scrutiny

Admission limited to candidates, nominators and agents from each ward.

Maximum of 30 people will be allowed entry.


Campaign

No more than 5 people, including candidates, should take part in house visits.

A maximum of 3 vehicles can be used for roadshow and vehicle rally.

There should not be any marches, crowds.

Social media should be utilized for campaigning.


Polling booths

Water and soap sanitizer mandatory outside the polling booth.

Markings should be made at a certain distance for voters to stand in the queue.

No more than two persons should engage in slip distribution.

Voting

  • Voters should use the sanitizer while entering and exiting the polling booth.
  • Voters must wear masks. The mask should be removed if necessary during identification.
  • Maximum of 3 voters to have simultaneous admission inside booths.
  • Postal votes for those who are COVID positive, those in quarantine and those on election duty.


Counting of votes

  • Counting officers should wear gloves and masks.
  • Celebrations shall take place as per COVID standards.

Things that voters must pay attention to:

1. Polling officials must wear face shield masks, sanitizers and gloves. Masks and sanitizers are mandatory for polling agents.

2. Voters must use sanitizer when entering and exiting the polling booth.

3. Voters entering the polling booth should show proof of identity.

4. Voters must wear masks. The mask should be removed only if necessary at the time of identification.

5. Voters must sign and fingerprint the register.

6 Voters must carefully apply ink on their fingers.
7 A voter can exercise 3 votes for three-tier panchayats and 1 vote for municipalities and corporations.
8 Maximum of 3 voters to have simultaneous admission inside booths by following social distancing norms.
9 Postal votes for those who are COVID positive and those who are in quarantine.
