Darshan allowed for VIPs in Guruvayur temple amid ban on entry

GURUVAYUR: VIPs were allowed darshan at the Guruvayur temple in violation of the ban for devotees in wake of Covid.

A group of six including a senior officer of the Kochi Naval Command, his wife were allowed to visit.

The darshan for the group of two women and four men allowed in the presence of Devaswom administrator. They entered Nalambalam after 'Athazhapooja' on Friday night and for Nirmalya Darshan at 3 in the morning on Saturday. Devotees were allowed to visit the temple from 4.30 am.

On the last Ekadashi day, the Devaswom Minister's wife and relatives were given the opportunity to visit Nalambalam, which sparked controversy.
