PM Modi becomes most followed active politician on Twitter

NEW DELHI: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the most-followed active politician on Twitter. Modi achieved the feat after Twitter blocked the account of former US President Trump in the wake of the Capitol attack.

Trump had 88.7 million followers before Twitter suspended his account while PM Modi currently has 64.7 million followers. Former US president Barack Obama is the most followed politician on the micro blogging site.
