THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Travancore Devaswom Board has denied having any links with the notice which was allegedly issued in its name. The notice said that considering the pandemic situation, the customs in the Sabarimala shrine will be telecasted via social media handles. Devaswom board president N Vasu has said that the board have no links with such an order. “We have not decided to telecast the customs of the temple but we will enquire about the ‘fake’ order,” he said.

“The devaswom board has entered into a contract with a private bank to further encourage online transactions. The fake order might have been publicised under the garb of this contract. Later this contract was cancelled. The board has no role in publishing such a false order. The board has never decided to telecast the customs of any temple online. Whereas the online Vazhipadu facility will be extended to 500 additional temples under the board,” Vasu added.
