COVID: Husband and wife die while undergoing treatment at home

KUNNAMKULAM: A husband and wife who were undergoing treatment for Covid at home died within a gap of hours. While the husband was found dead inside the house, his wife was found lying unconscious. Though she was rushed to the hospital, doctors were unable to save her life.

The deceased have been identified as ChoWannur native Joby(54) and wife Vini(49). They both tested positive for Covid on May 14. Following this, they were undergoing treatment at home. The incident came to light after Joby's brother Toby tried to contact him over the phone. Since no one picked up the phone, he reached the house by Saturday 8 pm after informing the police. Soon, police reached the area and opened the door with the help of the locals. While Joby was found dead, Vini was found lying unconscious. Vini's death occurred by Sunday 7 pm. The couple does not have any children.
