All police stations asked to further enhance scrutiny and surveillance; restrictions will be higher today and tomorrow

​​​​​THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Severe restrictions will be put in place in the state on Saturday and Sunday. More police personnel have been deputed in the rural and urban areas of the state to further increase scrutiny and surveillance. The government has asked the police personnel to take tough measures against those who deny restrictions. All police stations in the state have been asked to increase scrutiny on all public roads in the state.

Nobody will be allowed to buy parcels directly from hotels but home delivery will be allowed. Shops that sell food, ration items, fruits, vegetables, milk booths, fish and meat stalls, toddy shops, bakeries are allowed to function from morning 7 am to evening 7 pm.

Those in the construction sector can function by adhering to Covid protocol but the nearest police station should be informed about the construction activities. If social distancing norms are not followed then action will be taken. KSRTC will not undertake any services on these two days.
