THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in the state in the coming days. Following this, yellow and orange alerts have been sounded in various districts. Heavy or very heavy rain have been predicted. Isolated places are expected to receive 64.5 mm to 204.4 mm in 24 hours.
Heavy rains lashed many parts of the state in the last few days. Locals have been warned to be extra vigilant in case of continuous rains in these areas. The Meteorology Department urged residents of high-risk areas and areas found to be uninhabitable to take pprecautionary measures.
Orange alert has been sounded in Kozhikode and Kannur on July 21. On July 22 in Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod.
Yellow alert has been sounded in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargod today. On July 19 in Kannur and Kasargod. On July 20 in Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasargod. On July 21 in Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Wayanad and Kasargod and on July 22 in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram.
