Kerala records 12,818 COVID-19 cases on Thursday, TPR at 12.38; 122 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 12,818 COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Among these, 12,034 persons developed the disease through contact, including 623 cases without an identified source of infection. 76 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 85 health workers contracted the disease on Thursday.

13,454 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,28,881 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 122 deaths due to the virus on Thursday with the toll rising to 15,739.

District wise breakup of positive cases:
Thrissur 1605, Kozhikode 1586, Ernakulam 1554, Malappuram 1249, Palakkad 1095, Thiruvananthapuram 987, Kollam 970, Kottayam 763, Alappuzha 718, Kasaragod 706, Kannur 552, Pathanamthitta 433, Idukki 318, Wayanad 282.

1,03,543 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 12.38.
