THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister Veena George today said that two more people in the state have been diagnosed with the Zika virus. A 42-year-old woman from Kumarapuram, Thiruvananthapuram and a 30-year-old woman from Kottarakkara, Kollam have been diagnosed with the virus.
The virus was confirmed in a test conducted at the virology lab of the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. With this, the total number of confirmed cases in the state is 46. Five people have currently been diagnosed with the disease. None of them were admitted to the hospital. The health minister said that the health condition of all are satisfactory.
