KOCHI: The district collector has taken action against Ernakulam Pothys Supermarket for violating Covid norms. For violating the Covid Act, the collector has ordered Pothys to bear the vaccination expenses of 1000 migrant workers in the district.

Last week, the corporation’s health department had revoked the license of Pothys in Thiruvananthapuram, for violating Covid rules and allowing people to enter the shop through the back door. An inspection by the health department found a public violation of Covid norms. Action was taken against the shop in December 2020 following the rush of people in the grocery shop during Covid time.
