Karnataka imposes seven-day institutional quarantine for those coming from Kerala, quarantine and testing mandatory even for those who produce negative certificate

BENGALURU: Karnataka has imposed compulsory quarantine for those arriving from Kerala. The Karnataka government has issued an order in this regard. People coming from Kerala will have to remain in institutional quarantine for 7 days. They will have to undergo an RT-PCR test on the eighth day. Quarantine and testing are mandatory even for those who come from Kerala with RT-PCR negative certificates.

Special teams will be deployed at airports and railway stations. Inspections at the border will also be tightened. More police will be deployed at the Kerala border.
