Five Kashmiris arrested in Thiruvananthapuram for possessing guns with fake license

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have arrested five Kashmiris for possessing guns under a fake license. Kashmir natives Shoukathali, Shukoor Ahmed, Gulsaman, Mushtaq Hussain and Mohammad Javed were arrested. They are security staff who fill up cash in ATM. Twin-barreled guns and 25 rounds of ammunition were seized from them.


According to the police, they arrived in Kerala six months ago through a recruitment agency in Maharashtra. The police arrested them from their residence in Neeramankara. They possessed fake guns in the middle of strategic areas such as the airport, VSSC, Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Pangode Military Camp and the Air Force Headquarters. Military intelligence also sought information from police about the incident.
