Kerala, which had been leading the fight against Covid transmission, did not fall short in the second wave. The current prevalence of the disease does not matter. Kerala has succeeded in reducing the incidence of disease and mortality.
The three-hour meeting, which was attended by experts from different countries and heads of all medical colleges in the state, examined all areas of Covid outbreak and prevention. Foreigners participated online. This is the first time in the country that such a comprehensive meeting on Covid has been convened.
The current outbreak will continue for a maximum of two months. Later, the virus will continue to cause fever for a few more years.
Newer variants of the Covid that surpasses vax protection has led to an increase in the spread of the disease. But the vaccine can reduce the severity of the disease and the mortality rate.
